My view on Prof Dr. Mohammad Tajuddin Mohamad Rasdi's Statement

Question: "The latest incident about BFM newsreader being threathened with death, rape and being burnt alive by those I assume to be Malay-Muslim netizens brings forth serious questions for this country. Is this country safe for our children to live in? If a simple point is raised against such issue such as Hudud or even such issue as democracy and clean elections can produce outburst of murder, rape and burning people alive, what does it say about our country, its citizens and our leadership?"...Prof Dr. Mohammad Tajuddin Mohamad Rasdi.

•       How do you view the above statements? 

If a simple point is raised against such issue such as Hudud or even such issue as democarcy and clean elections can produce outburst of murder, rape and burning people alive, what does it say about our country, its citizens and our leadership? My point of view on this statement is that the netizens is being unreasonable. 

The BFM newsreader being threathened with death, rape and being burnt alive is known as Aisyah Tajuddin. Prof Dr. Mohammad Tajuddin Mohamad Rasdi who is a former lecturer at UTM is also the father of Aisyah Tajuddin. He came out with that kind of statement because he is upset with the mindset of all these people. Although Aisyah Tajuddin action for making the video called "Hudud Isi Periuk Nasi [Kupas]" (Does Hudud fills our rice bowls?) is not wise, the netizen also shows the same attitude. The netizens is being negative towards Aisyah, because they accused Aisyah for insulting Islam. In my opinion, the netizens also is insulting Islam. Why? Being Malay-Muslim netizens who thought Aisyah is insulting Islam because of this Hudud issue, the netizens is also insulting Islam because of being the 'keyboard warrior' and threathening Aisyah with such threat like death, rape and being burnt alive. This is because, Islam is not that cruel. Islam is not negative. If the netizens really care about Islam and Hudud, they should not came out with the threat of "Burn her alive", "Wait till I rape you, woman." and "If I see you in front of me, I'll shoot you in the head." beacause all of these threat and comments is against Islam's principle. What they did only make Islam seems cruel and negative. 

All of this also goes back to the question "If a simple point is raised against such issue such as Hudud or even such issue as democarcy and clean elections can produce outburst of murder, rape and burning people alive, what does it say about our country, its citizens and our leadership?". These netizens manage to make our country looks like its not a safe country anymore. This outburst shows the maturity level of the netizens, and knowing that the netizens is being the citizens of the country, then, is the citizens is also immature. How about our leaders? Questions rises because of an action. The netizens need to stop being the "keyboard warrior" because they only listens to themselves. They think they are always right. This immature action cannot be practic if everyone want a safe and peaceful country. Moreover, everyone should think wisely before doing something. It is better to be safe than sorry.
